
DR. KENT AYERS MBChB, MRCOG, MRCP
Dr. Kent Ayers was born and educated in New Zealand and is registered by the Irish Medical Council & British Fertility Society. Having qualified at Auckland Medical School, Kent moved to the United Kingdom to achieve a post-graduate education and became a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and gynaecologists.
In 1997, Kent was a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist in the South of England for 6 years, managing labour wards and high risk pregnancies. Since moving to Ireland in 2007, he has spent the past 10 years building up a successful fertility consultancy based in South Dublin, dedicating his career to completing families for patients who are having difficulty conceiving, recurrent miscarriages, seeking IVF, or indeed just wish to conceive at the later stages of fertility.
Kent is an independent consultant and works with the leading fertility institutions in Ireland and overseas. Over his lifetime, he was inspired by 3 extraordinary Doctors

Sir Prof. Graham ‘Mont’ Liggins was his mentor at Auckland Medical School, and the man who instigated the use of maternal steroids in pre-term labour, to improve neonatal pulmonary (lung) function

As a junior doctor, Kent was inspired by the work and teaching of Prof. Lesley Regan who is the world authority on the management of recurrent mis-carriage.

And perhaps the greatest influence of all..his father Rev. Dr. Ronald Ayers BA MBChB FRCS FRCGP, a thoroughly devoted and well loved physician

Founder of OvaScan | Fertility Ultrasound, Patricia is a highly experienced Ultrasonographer who works closely with Dr. Kent Ayers assisting our patients with Follicle Tracking Ultrasound monitoring during assisted reproductive treatments, first trimester ultrasounds and conducting diagnostic fertility ultrasound examinations such as Saline Infusion Sonography and Hysterosalpingo-contrast-sonography.

Dr. Robert Downer, PhD, Clinical Embryologist
Dr. Robert Downer is a clinical embryologist certified by the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE). In 2002 he graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a PhD in microbial genetics where he studied the mechanisms by which certain bacteria cause human disease.
Following his graduation Robert continued his research studies where he focused on developing rapid methods for detecting disease causing bacteria in food. Following these studies, he joined one of the world’s largest FDA-regulated diagnostics companies. There he led teams that supported, improved and maintained several diagnostic products used by oncologists in the management of cancer particularly liver, testicular and breast cancer.
Since 2010 Robert has held positions in a number of IVF clinics throughout Ireland including lead clinical embryologist, laboratory manager, quality management and clinic manager. He has a deep knowledge of the scientific techniques involved in reproductive medicine as well as vast experience in the quality, regulatory and compliance aspects of the IVF sector in Ireland.
Robert has also provided training regarding the scientific techniques involved in reproductive medicine to medical students, GPs and medical professionals in hospitals. He has particular interest in the causes and treatment of male infertility and has presented research findings to the Irish Fertility Society (IFS).

Cody Hazel Eiffe – Administration Co-ordinator
Cody Eiffe is a qualified Healthcare Assistant and Medical Administrator, having worked previously in a nursing home and GP Surgeries before joining the Admin Team at KA Fertility in June 2019. She works as Kent’s personal assistant and the admin coordinator in KAF.
Having first done Pre-Paramedics in college in 2013, she briefly worked in Tower Nursing Home for people with Dementia as a Healthcare Assistant, which is where she learned that she loves to help people and go above and beyond for them with a smile! She then moved on to do Medical Administration in 2017. Since then, she has been working in GP surgeries, including Methadone clinics, as a Healthcare Assistant, and Admin.
During her time at KA Fertility, she completed her phlebotomy training to further enhance her skills in the medical profession, and to help out more in the clinic. Cody is a, chatty, hard and fast working member of the team. You’ll be sure to get a friendly, fast and efficient service with a smile!
