COVID 19 CLINIC UPDATE – JAN 26TH 2021
Due to the extremely serious developments regarding the increase of Covid numbers and community spread, for the protection of our patients and staff, we have had to make the difficult decision to operate a limited clinic on a week to week basis until the Covid situation improves. We are committed to treating all of our existing patients currently in treatment THEREFOR THE CLINIC IS ONLY OPEN FOR ATTENDANCE FOR ESSENTIAL SCANS/ BLOODS/PROCEDURES from 10AM – 1PM Monday.
PATIENT REVIEWS & NEW PATIENT APPOINTMENTS WILL TAKE PLACE BY FACETIME/PHONE CONSULTATION 3-5PM AFTERNOONS ONLY. PLEASE EMAIL [email protected] TO BOOK AS ALL CALLS WITH OUR MEDICAL TEAM NEED TO BE SCHEDULED IN ADVANCE DUE TO THE HIGH LEVEL OF PHONE CALLS
Where scans/bloods/procedures are required, in line with Covid guidelines for medical practices these appointments are only permissible for a maximum face to face contact time of 15 minutes per patient. Any further discussions regarding your Consult will be followed up with a phone call from the Doctor/Nurse to discuss if required once you have left the clinic as we appreciate that 15 minutes is a very limited timeframe.
The waiting room will . be closed with exception to checking in for your appointment at reception, where we will carry out the covid triage and process payment in advance of your appointment. You will then be asked to wait outside in the main lobby. Please note no partners may attend the clinic unless in the event of an early pregnancy problem.
For your safety, and the safety of our staff and other patients, All patients attending our clinic must wear a face cover and complete a Covid Triage Form PRIOR to arriving for each appointment. You will receive an email with this form in advance of your appointment, or you can complete it on our website www.kafertility.ie/covid-19-triage Your temperature will also be scanned at reception on arrival. Any patient presenting with a temperature of 37.5 degrees+ will be asked to re-schedule. PLEASE NOTE YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND YOUR APPOINTMENT UNLESS THIS FORM IS COMPLETED PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT.
OUR WEEKLY CERVICAL SCREENING CLINIC IS HAS NOW RE-OPENED SUBJECT TO NO FURTHER INCREASES IN COVID DAILY CASE RATE & OTHER COVID FACTORS.
OUR WEEKLY SEMEN ANALYSIS CLINIC REMAINS OPEN FOR SAMPLE DROP OFF ONLY. THE EMBRYOLOGIST CONSULT WILL TAKE PLACE WITH A FOLLOW UP PHONE CALL AFTER THE SAMPLE HAS BEEN RECEIVED & ANALYSED.
All Patients will be emailed directly regarding any changes to your appointment.
If you have any prescription requirements please email them in advance so that we can have them ready for you to collect at your appointment. If you do not require a scan or blood test/procedure we will arrange a phone or facetime consultation instead. If you have attended hospital, work in a hospital setting, have been a close-contact of someone with COVID OR COVID symptoms, or travelled to an IVF clinic abroad for treatment, we require that you isolate for 14 days and present a negative COVID test 24 hours prior to attending our clinic.
Please note the phones may not be attended in the afternoons but our admin team will be on email hours per day to answer any queries you may have. However due to remote working access to the medical team may be slower so we would ask for your patience and support
We apologise for any inconvenience caused but our goal is to keep our clinic safe in order to be able to remain open and continue our patient service during this dangerous time. We will monitor the situation closely and resume full services as soon as it is safe to do so.
